Ohhh....Kill Me NOW! Cool Whip ?!?! So, this book has fabulous reviews (don't buy it) and even jennifer Garner put hot rollers in her hair... What could go wrong? Answer: Almost Everything.I was reading through trying to be a good sport about the fact that RW calls her Grandmother Dorothea (is that a southern thing?) Then four or five pages about the importance of Sweet Tea with lots of ice. (really?) and then recipes for BBQ Ribs (sooo healthy) But what broke the camels back? Mud Pie Trifle with COOL WHIP and INSTANT PUDDING !!! That is not a recipe anyone Northerner Southerner or any person of value can offer with Pride. GAG ME :(OK - Pros: women should dress in pretty dresses with pretty lipstick and hair. MEN should look their best as well, no? And summer nights on a porch swing with friends is always a win. But did we really need to make RW a lot richer to know that? I am returning mine....quicker than you can say: dagnabbit Reese, cool whip just sucks. Get some whipping cream and beat it.All those touched up pictures of her are just laughable.Wow! This book is my favorite!! So, I preordered the book months ago and just received it today! I was surprised how well done the book is. There are lots of beautiful pictures and fun topics to read. Seriously, LOTS of great information! This book is NOT another "celebrity" book. Yes, I love Reese Witherspoon, but I really believe you don't have to be her big fan to enjoy this book. I highly recommend this book for all women!!It's like comfort food for the soul, southern style. I love Reese so was so excited to get this book and I wasn't disappointed! It's a large coffee table style book that's full of recipes, beautiful photos and sweet memories. The inside cover is lined in what reminded me of my grandmother's old wallpaper lol, I loved it!!After reading this book you'll want to cuddle up and watch steel magnolias with some warm biscuits and a big glass of iced sweet tea. I hope Reese does a novel next, I bet it would be great.

In My Top 5 Biographies of All Time I've seen the movie based off of this biography several times, but as is often the case, the book far outstrips the movie. As good and inspirational as the movie is, the book is ten times moreso. Metaxas includes many of the backstories and details of the fight for abolition that didn't make it in the book. Also, Wilberforce and his community of friends were involved in several other social movements (often uphill struggles) to make things better at home in England and abroad that aren't even touched on in the movie. It is inspiring to read of Wilberforce's perseverance over so many years of struggle, his humility and heart for others, and how he went from being laughed at and scorned to being upheld as a standard to the extent he radically impacted the culture of England and it started to be "fashionable" to do charitable things. Definitely one of the best and most inspirational biographies I've read.Loved this Book I listened to the audio version of this book on my way to and from Nashville and found it fabulous. Eric Metaxis is a great writer and clearly and eloquently brought this story to life. I was shocked by some of the descriptions even though I knew what slaves went through. I believe we still owe the descendants our allegiance, apologies and restitution, though I am stymied by what that would look like. I think all who read this book will find renewed courage to fight for the battles that matter in life. It pays to have a Godly outlook based on the Bible and until Jesus returns, we all have our battles to wage. Thank you Eric, and thank you Wilberforce.An Amazing Man For a reader who knew very little about William Wilberforce, this book is an eye opener. In his younger years at university he was a bit self indulgent, but after a religious conversion he became passionate about ending the slave trade of Africans to the West Indies on British ships. Because of opposition of the Liverpool shipowners and West Indian planters, this was to take over 20 years. Wilberforce had become a member of Parliament and he perservered with his cause for many years. Not long before his death he achieved a complete triumph, the banning of slavery itself in the British West Indies, 30 years before it was to happen in the United States.Wilberforce was an inconspicuous little man, only 5' 3" tall, but with a powerful presence and a very persuasive speaker in the House of Commons. The book contains some interesting facts, such as by the end of the 18th century, there were over 17,000 blacks living in England as free men. These had been escaped slaves who fought on the side of the British in the revolutionary war in America, but they lived in poverty, and Wilberforce tried to help them as well. His energy also extended to doing something about the abuses in colonial India, where widows were still being burned alive, after their husband's death !

You will find lots of information online."Then, why do we need to buy this book, if we can study through online...????Like the success it was spelled as I dont know if this book is the legit book from ati because the one I got has a title with wrong spelling on it . Like the success it was spelled as sucessWaste of money Do not buy this study guide. Yes it is by ATI but if offers no explanations to the subjects that are covered on the test. It briefly goes over the 4 areas with little detail and it says, "You should study this part more" but it does not explain the topic in many words. I bought this book and only scored a 77% on the test. My goal was at least an 85%. I did improve slightly from the first time I took the Teas but definitely not as much as I wanted too. If you want to get a good score on the Teas buy the mometrix study guide for the Teas 6. It explains the test in a much better way with more information.
